Easy Vegetarian Recipes

Coconut Curry Tempeh Sandwich

-

-

Had to post this blog, cuz alotta folks really think all i eat is salad. LOL

So every now & then, I post quick & easy vegetarian recipes for the so-called normal folks. LOL

-

-

-

Ingredients:

Peanut Oil, Marinated Coconut Curry Tempeh, Honey Wheat Bread, Mayonaise, Romaine Lettuce, Tomatoes, & Shredded Mexican Taco Cheese

-
All ingredients can be purchased at Publix. Where shopping is a pleaure. lol

-
You dont have to use Peanut Oil. Any cooking oil is good. I just choose to use it for this recipe.
Throw a lil' bit of oil in a pan 'til it starts to heat up. Then grab the coconut curry tempeh strips & lay them in the pan.
After about 2-3 minutes, flip the tempeh strips & let them cook for bout another 2-3 minutes.
-
As soon as you put the tempeh in the oil, grab 2 slices of honey wheat breat, sprinkle 1 half with Mexican-style, shredded cheese. Heat it in the toaster oven to your liking.
-
By the time the toaster goes off, your tempeh should be about done.
Lightly glaze the empty slice of bread with Mayo. Slap on some Romaine lettuce & sliced tomatoes.
-
Place your Tempeh on top and add the cheesy slice of bread on top of all of it.
And there you go.

-
Of course you dont have to use the exact ingredients. There could be different bread and/or you might wanna add onions, etc. This is just my favorite way of making it.

THE AMAZING BENEFITS OF BLUEBERRIES
-
-
There's a lil' bulletin board by the water fountains in the gym that I work out at & I saw these interesting facts about blueberries posted. Being the Herbivore I am, it automatically sparked my interest.
-
So here are 4 of the many benefits of blueberries:
-
-
-
1) SKIN RELIEVER
______________________
-
-
Soften up with this scrub from The Cliff House Resort and Spa in Ogunquit, Maine:
Combine 2 cups brown sugar, 2 teaspoons pureed blueberries, & 3 tablespoons lemon juice.
Blueberry's antioxidants soften skin, lemon juice brightens, & sugar exfoliates.
-
-
-
2) BLADDER AID
____________________
-
-
Blueberries, like cranberries, contain compounds that prevent bacteria from adhering to bladder walls, which helps ward off urinary tract infections (UTI's), according to a Rutgers University study. If you get UTI's, toss a handful of blueberries into your A.M. smoothie.
-

-
-
3) CANCER BLOCKER
_________________________
-
-
Blueberries' anthocyanins -- which give them their blue hue -- attack cancer-causing free radicals & can even block the growth of tumor cells, a University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign study found. Eating just a half-cup a day (like in a slice of pie for instance) is all you need.
-

-
-

4) BRAIN FOOD
____________________
-
-
To work smarter, pack dried-blueberry trail mix for a snack. A study from the University of Reading and the Peninsula Medical School in England suggests that blueberries reverse age-related memory loss, thanx to its abundance of antioxidants called flavonoids.

CANNABIS TEA
-
Most of yall that know me,
know that i prefer consuming my weed in food or in teas more than by smoking it.
-
Since so many folks, including my mother, wanna know how to make the tea, i decided to tell yall thru the blog.
-
-
-
Well, there's no real way that it has to be done, but I prefer using Anitoxidant Green Tea from Celestial Seasonings or African Red Bush from Tazo Teas.

-
-
-
ALL i do is pull out the string from the tea bag.
(If there's a staple in it, i take it out completely without ripping it)
-
After opening the bag, i put in one (maybe two) cannabis buds. It doesnt take much to get ur super-high on. lol
-
The type of herb doesnt really matter that much as long as it's good. Trust me. I've used Zona, Brown Weed, Black Weed, Crip, Dro, Purp, .... u name it!

-
-
-
Since im on an ALL-Natural vibe, i like adding other herbs to it.
-
Usually i'll grab some eucalyptus leaves & gotu kola.....& add it in there.

-
-
-

Wrap the string around the bag, so that ALL the herbs are secured.

-
Then i just fill up a pot of water, place it on the stove, & place the bag in there til it boils for a while. Once the water gets dark to ur liking, pour it in a cup & add some honey.

-

-
-
Maybe Im crazy, but i like to take the buds & I eat em before i throw out the bag. lol

-

-

-

The high is not as instant & it isnt the same kinda high, but it lasts very long. It seems to slowly creep up on you as the day goes on.

On top of that, it's better for you than smoking it out of tobacco or white boys, 'cause they hold ALL type of chemicals that arent good for your system. But if you're a smoker, it will definitely be a great added boost to your high.

-

Once again, you don't have to use the herbs that i put here. I use ALL type of herbs when making my teas.

I get most of my herbs from http://www.starwest-botanicals.com/
